How can I find out who controls the menu?

I may be working on several projects, and each may have a few (or
many) changed files in them.
I find it useful to be able to see all the unsynch. files from a
particular project; I don't want to see the unsynch. files from other
projects at the same time.

At least that list is sorted ...
