It might not help you Srijit, but you can compare _directories_ even
though you can't compare a group of random files. I do that sort of
thing all the time.

After selecting a folder, I verified you can select "Compare with
Latest", "Compare with Branch/tag", "Compare with Base Revision", and
even Team-"Show History" for a slightly different view. Give that a try,
just to see if it will accomplish what you need, but in a different way.

Subject: [Subclipse-users] Subclipse feature request - batch compare &
repository structure

Hi, I am the SCM admin for our developers. We have recently moved from
CVS to SVN, and overall things are much better.

However, our developers are very used to the cvs way of things and have
made certain requests.

1) Batch compare.
In CVS users could compare a file on their local workspace with the one
in the repository. Subclipse supports this same functionality. However,
in CVS, users could select multiple files/projects and do a compare with
HEAD.
Subclipse only shows the "each other" option and "latest from
repository" is grayed out. Is there a way to do a batch compare or does
subclipse plan on adding this feature in the future?

2) Repository structure
Like #1, in CVS users would select multiple projects and go replace all
with HEAD. Using the latest version of subclipse users now have the
option of replacing with tag/branch.

However, this new feature only allows the user to enter 1 url to the
tag/branch.

Our repository layout:
repo1
repo1/module1/project1/tags
repo1/module1/project1/branches
repo1/module1/project1/trunk

repo2
repo2/module2/project2/tags
repo2/module2/project2/branches
repo2/module2/project2/trunk

Based on our repository layout, the user needs to specify two different
URLs for the two projects (project1 and project2). Subclipse does not
allow this.
I am quite sure this is because subclipse has no understanding of the
repository layout. However, subversive does have an understanding of the
layout of your repositories and supports a batch replace from the
tags/branches under each project.

Are there any plans for having a similar feature in subclipse?

Thanks

Srijit
