I'd just like to confirm that this solution does work quite well. A
quick guide for anyone finding this in the archives:

1) Install SVNkit from within eclipse, using the update site listed
here: http://svnkit.com/download.php (which is currently http://
svnkit.com)
2) Uninstall the non-required subclipse plugins from eclipse, but
keep the required Subclipse plugin, and install the optional SVNKit
client adapter.
3) Restart eclipse
