You probably already told me, but what version of OSX and what chip
architecture. I am using Leopard on Intel.

I also assume you are using the default OSX JVM and not a 64-bit JVM
or something? Given that the SVN package is a 4-way universal binary,
maybe the problem is in one of the four variants?
