Trying to recall, is the issue if you have the file open in an editor,
then commit it. You want the Quick Diff to reset without closing and
reopening the editor?

Have you ever filed an issue? One of our contributors, Brock
Janiczak, maintains a lot of these features. I am not sure how
closely he monitors the mailing list. His availability to contribute
is also limited.

We have a page up that helps people get started on developing for
Subclipse if someone wants to try to make a patch.
