[Subclipse-users] Don't understand the Configure branch/tag feature

Hi,

I'm trying to understand the "Configure branch/tag" feature. I have a
project which looks like:

/.../MyProject
               /trunk
               /branches
                    /branch1

The folders 'trunk' and 'branch1' are Eclipse projects. If I'm on the
trunk and use the 'Configure branch/tag' feature, the property will
only be available in the trunk directory. If I switch to the branch,
the property is not there anymore. So I guess there will be problems.

I would like the merging process eased. For example, if I work on a
branch and want to merge with the trunk, I would like the revision
numbers to be filled automatically. I thought the 'Configure b/t'
feature was meant for this but can't find any hint in the
documentation. Also, if I am on the trunk and want to merge a branch,
all revision numbers must be chosen for me.

Thank you
