I do not recall ever having an option to ignore them. I think you
mean that they used to show in the dialog, but were deselected.

You can file an issue if you'd like. I agree we need to do something
to improve this. I am thinking of doing something like CVS where we
notify of you unversioned files before you see the commit dialog and
then Add or do not Add them. Only the added files would show in the
dialog.
