[Subclipse-users] Using subprojects (i.e. projects within directories)

Hi,

As far as I can tell, there seems to be a limitation in the directory
structure when checking out a project into eclipse using subclipse. It
seems that every project must reside directly under eclipse workspace
directory, and that no nesting of projects within subdirectories is
allowed.

This creates a problem for us in our project, where the files can be
checked out either as a whole on the command line, or as just a few of
the subprojects in eclipse. The two methods result in different on-disc
structures, and making them both work is tricky.

It would be great if subclipse allowed me to specify a subdirectory to
put a project in, as part of the psf file. That would allow me to use a
psf file that created a directory structure that exactly mirrored the
repository structure. Are there any plans to include this feature? Can
I file a feature request for this?

This message is related I think:
