[Subclipse-users] subclipse 1.2.x update site not working?

Hi,

I am trying to install the subclipse plugin in a fresh install of
Eclipse 3.3.1.1 (classic), fresh workspace, no other plugins installed.
I'm installing the latest subclipse release (1.2.4) through the update
manager, from the update site http://subclipse.tigris.org/update_1.2.x

I can select the plugin components I want (just subclipse, none of the
optional components), and confirm the copyright notice.
However, when reaching the last 10kb of the first file
(plugins/org.tigris.subversion.javahl.win32_1.2.4.jar) the update
manager halts.
I've left it for upward of 30 minutes, without any further progress.

I'm running in J2SE 1.6.0_10-ea, on a quad core machine.

Is the update site borked, or is this some very obscure bug i've
encountered?
