[Subclipse-users] Massive subclipse performance degradation after moving from svn 1.4.0 to 1.4.6

Hi

We're using subversion for 8 months now. Our repo has a medium size (dump is 1.5GB) and runs on a Suse Linux Enterprise with kernel 2.6.18.8 (within a VMWare in our ESX server). On our clients we use Eclipse 3.3 with Subclipse 1.2.4.
This week - after testing functional compatibility on another machine - we moved from svn 1.4.0 to svn 1.4.6 on our server. After this upgrade subclipse performed very poor (compared to before). Changing the interface (javahl, svnkit) didnt matter. TortoiseSVN (compiled to svn 1.4.6) performed like before. The server stats were ~the same (cpu,io).
Since the performance degradation was so massive we had to change back svn to 1.4.0.

Has anyone out there had a similar expirience?

One clue that we have is that neigher svnkit nor javahl are linked to svn 1.4.6 (svnkit->svn1.4.4) (javahl->svn1.4.5).
Will there be a 1.2.5 version of subclipse with new versions of svnkit and javahl?

How stable is the upcoming subclipse plugin now? And is it compatible to an 1.4.x repo or does it only work with a 1.5.x repo?

Regards
Daniel Schröter
