I think the problem is outside of Subclipse. Like in Eclipse itself
or another plugin. It is not hard to search all of the Subclipse code
to see when it modifies preferences. I did that for this a long time
ago and it doesn't other than the preference page that I could see.

I'd guess there is some plugin or situation that is causing Eclipse to
do something to these decorator preferences. It is not a very
prevalent problem so it is more likely to be a "situation" that causes
it.
