Does the JVM write a stack trace to a file? That could shed some light
into the issue. Also check out the workspace log, maybe something made
it in there before the crash.

I don't remember the exact name of the file that Sun's JVM writes when
the JVM itself carshes, but it should be withing the JVM's current
working directory (i.e. where you started it from).
