I've got 2 developers experiencing similar problems no SpringIDE, just
OSX, Mylyn, Subclipse, and Eclipse 3.3.1.
The problems don't appear to be related to subclipse.

When it happened to me the eclipse log reported it as a PermGen out of
memory error. So I've bumped up to 512m of PermGen, and things have
been working better so far.
