I'm trying to get subclipse working on CentOS and I'm having some
difficulties with it constantly prompting me for my username and password.
We have Subversion installed on a Windows 2003 box running Apache, which has
been configured to allow us to use our Windows domain usernames and
passwords. I am using the SVNKit client apadter with subclipse because the
version that I installed through the eclipse update feature apparently does
not come with JavaHL. I'm not sure if SVNKit has some type of problem with
storing passwords, but when I installed subclipse on a Windows box it came
with JavaHL and the username passwords are being remembered properly (and if
I switch to SVNKit on Windows I get the same problems I'm seeing on Linux).
So one solution may be to get JavaHL installed on CentOS. Unfortunately, I'm
having trouble getting that to work. I don't have much experience with Linux
and building things instead of intalling them isn't working out too well so
far. I realize this probably isn't the right place to ask for help on how to
get JavaHL installed, but I wanted to see if anyone had any alternatives to
that route that may fix the problem I'm having.
Thanks,
Dave
