[Subclipse-users] Password Mismatch when trying to access repository

From: Ghodmode <ghodmode_at_ghodmode.com>
Date: 2007-09-11 22:10:12 CEST

I have my subversion repositories hosted by the Apache httpd server with
mod_dav_svn and using basic authentication. I can access the repository
using either the svn command line tool or a web browser, but Subclipse is
failing. It just keeps prompting me for the user name and password
repeatedly.

To try and troubleshoot this, I monitored the log on the server (tail -f
error_log) while I was trying to access the repository with Subclipse. The
error message from the log was:

11 Sep 2007 - 11:37:25[Tue Sep 11 11:37:26 2007] [error] [client 1.2.3.4]
user ghodmode: authentication failure for "/repos/my-files": Password
Mismatch

(I changed the IP address, user name, and file location for privacy)

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Thank you,
