Repositories are not linked to the API we use in any way shape or
form. The API you are using is controlled by one thing only and that
is the preference under Team > SVN. As soon as you change the
preference, you have changed the API we are calling for the next SVN
operation we perform.

You can change the preference back and forth as often as you want or
whenever you want.
