If svn diff can do it, then yes it is at least theoretically possible.
 If it is not working, then most likely something in our UI or code is
expecting it to be the same repository. Did you define a repository
location for this other URL so you can browse it?

You can debug Subclipse by checking out the code and running it in the
Eclipse runtime and debugging via Eclipse debugger.
