[Subclipse-users] importing an existing checked-out directory

I may be missing something, but I have not yet found a way to import into a Subclipse project an existing directory-tree which has been previously checked out using svn. Is this possible? Of course I could simply do a fresh checkout, but I have files in the tree which are not in the repository, and I would like to preserve these files without needing to copy them all over (import them individually) into the Subclipse project.
