[Subclipse-users] Secure Connection Truncated Error...Request For Assistance

Hi everyone,

I am attempting to use Subclipse to checkout a project from an SVN
repository based on the Sourceforge.net website. Unfortunately, about 50%
of the way through the checkout I keep receiving the following error
message:

RA layer request failed
svn: REPORT request failed on '/svnroot/mightyd/!svn/vcc/default'
svn: REPORT of '/svnroot/mightyd/!svn/vcc/default': Could not read
response body: Secure connection truncated (https://svn.sourceforge.net)

After some googling I found a thread in this mailing list which stated
that the solution to the problem is to make sure you have the latest
version of the JDK and then install the Unlimited Strength Java
Cryptography Extension Policy Files. I have done both of the above but
this has not solved the problem.

I am running JDK 1.6.0 and JRE 1.6.0. I am using eclipse version 3.2.2
and Subclipse 1.0.x (since I keep getting errors when trying to install
Subclipse 1.2.x). Can anyone offer any advice/suggestions on how to solve
this problem so I can checkout the code from the repository?

Yours faithfully,

Simon Pearson
