ahhhhhh. That makes perfect sense. I also see what Mark meant when he said this was a bigger issue in Eclipse 3.3 So, what's the next step? File it in the issue tracker? Sit and wait for Eclipse 3.3 final? "Compare with... / Local history" shows result in the History view and not in dialog there.
