[Subclipse-users] error: svn: Expected format...

When trying to register a new repository using subclipse, I got the
following error

    Couldn't open a repository
svn: Unable to open an ra_local session to URL
svn: Unable to open repository 'file:///F:/SVN_repos'
Unsupported repository version
svn: Expected format '3' of repository; found format '5'

I got this error with TortoiseSVN as well as subclipse.

A quick google led to some information about an old svnserver process
haning around that was incompatible with the repository. I had no such
process running but when I upgraded TortoiseSVN to the latest 1.4.1,
the problem went away

not for subclipse however. I still get the error.

The about box in Tortoise says I am using Subversion 1.4.2

Any ideas why subclipse is still locked into presumably using an old
client library even though it is up to date (subclipse version 1.0.3).

Should I uninstall/re-install is that possible?
