Which IP address are you speaking about ? The server ? Your machine ? Did you try and see if the command line subversion is having the same trouble ? Subclipse in only an eclipse graphical front-end, it's delegating its subversion calls to an underlying adapter : JavaSVN or JavaHL, which one are you using (see in preferences).
