[Subclipse-users] Permanently Accepting Security Certificates
From: Marvin Toll <tollm_at_dteenergy.com>
Date: 2006-10-27 19:34:55 CEST Eclipse 3.2.1 - Installed yesterday Subclipse v. 1.1.8 - Installed yesterday Our recently installed users ... within the last two days - can not permanently accept a security certificate. Thus, they endure repeated prompting within the Eclipse IDE (for example "SVN Repository" view). Since we are operating within a corporate context, our initial theory was new users have insufficient privileges - specifically "regedit". Acquisition of this privilege did not resolve the issue. In the absence of understanding of the machinery, and which layers are responsible for handling certificates, one might speculate that: * Previously installed users had Tortoise or perhaps command line Subversion capabilities enabling certificate acceptance? * Previously installed users have earlier versions of Subclipse that ensured a capability not distributed with the current v. 1.1.8 download? * Previously installed users have additional administrative privileges not granted to recently installed users? Question: Any ideas having more merit than the above speculation? Thanks, Marvin |
