[Subclipse-users] Silence when filing an issue

From: Linus Tolke <Linus.Tolke_at_enea.se>

I had problems with Subclipse. I went to the Issue tracker page
(http://subclipse.tigris.org/project_issues.html) where it says:

* Yada

* Yada

* Report your problem to users@subclipse.tigris.org
<mailto:users@subclipse.tigris.org> , describing the bug or feature
request that you were about to file. People there will ask you questions
and help get the bug report into a useful form, after verifying that a
new issue is appropriate. Yada yada.

I posted to users@subclipse.tigris.org and then I heard nothing for the
next 30 hours. Since I am a little curious and very comfortable with the
Tigris setup I know how to browse the mailing list archive so I noticed
that Mark Phippard had commented my mail on the mailing list within 6
hours.

I think that, for clarity, the Issue tracker page
(http://subclipse.tigris.org/project_issues.html) should describe that
to get the follow-ups you need to be a member on the list or poll the
Mailing list archive. Another option would be to always do the
questions-asking and getting the bug report into form as a reply to the
person who sent the mail as well as on the list but I know that the way
the Tigris mailing lists work, that is hard to get to work properly.
