There is a lot of stuff that I and others do not want to work on. We just
don't work on it. If someone wants to provide a patch, I am always
willing to review it and hopefully commit it. Most of the work in the
last several 1.1.x releases have come from patches. It is rare that I or
any committer is against a feature. There are just some that do not
interest us enough to work on.
