RE: [Subclipse-users] Opening a old revision of a binary file

Hi Mark,

You're right, I've just tried with CVS and it doesn't support it
also. I guess I can't call it a bug but rather a limitation. So in order
to deal with this behavior, now I am saying to the people that use SVN
in here to:

        1) Outside eclipse, rename your document with local changes to
something else (original file).
        2) Get the revision you want to see over your local file.
        3) Do whatever they need to do.
        4) Outside eclipse, delete the local file and rename (original
file) again to the original name.
        5) Come back to eclipse.

So, that is the only way (that I can think) to see 2 files, at
the same time, without loosing your local changes. Maybe (probably) you
could suggest something else.

Thanks (again) for your support,

Olavo Lira

Do you know if CVS supports this? I would not call it a bug, but it is
somewhere where potentially improvements could be made. I think part of

the problem is that the contents are likely displayed from a stream,
rather than a concrete file.
