Thanks, Mark. That fixed my problem.

Since this is the second time (in as many years) you've identified this
misstep of mine, perhaps this is a candidate for the Subclipse online docs
under FAQ --> Troubleshooting.

In Subversion, you cannot delete or rename a folder, nor can you modify
the properties of a folder, unless that folder is at the HEAD revision. So
you need to run Update and then you will be able to commit. Whenever you
see "out of date" errors it means you need to update.
