Interesting. I do agree that the dialog box should make it clear that the
password is not required or used. When I first saw it, I thought that the ssh
library was trying to do password-based authentication and that is something I
didn't want to do, so I could not make much progress. However, after reading
your email, I tried not entering a password and it worked fine.
I am also interested in the advantage of the current approach in relation to the
old one where the username was set in the repository configuration dialog box.
As far as I can see, it was already possible to use a different user name than
the ssh one.
