The only part that sounds unexpected is that last part about JavaSVN
1.1.2. That would be a bug to report to them. I do not 100% understand
the scenario the way it is written, so perhaps rewrite and focus on just
that part.

I do recall that the JavaSVN dialog has a username field that you can
edit, in addition to the passphrase.
