In the general case, Eclipse won't know how wide you want to make your lines,
so the box should soft-wrap (i.e. not send the 'wrap' carriage returns in the
commit message).
That would allow both DIY wrapping and friendlier 'I want to see all of what
I'm typing'.

The dialogue already seems to remember it's width, so you could use that to
set the desired width of your comments.
