As with any change it ultimately comes down to someone submitting a patch
to implement the feature. I took a quick look. Adding the
getSubscriber() method is fairly trvial, so I have committed that change.
Implementing IFileHistoryProvider looks a lot more difficult. I do not
have any plans to look at that one any further. If you want to look at it
and submit a patch, I will review it. I suspect as a longer term goal,
someone will probably want to rewrite our Synchronization support to use
the new Models API. When/if someone does that, I think implementing this
interface will be part of that work. It doesn't look to be trivial to
just implement it on its own though.
