[Subclipse-users] Incorrect name as author on subversion commits via Subclipse

One of our developers, say Fred, is having trouble with the author field
of commits he is making from Eclipse using Subclipse. The team receives
an email from subversion's post-commit hook script, but the author of
the email is indicated as 'Tom', another developer on the team. They
both use a shared installation of Eclipse, installed several months ago.
But Tom installed the Subclipse plugin just a few weeks ago.

I verified with svnlook that the subversion repository actually lists
Tom as the author of the subversion transaction.

If Fred does the subversion commit from an xterm using subversion
command line commands, he is properly credited as being author of the
transaction by subversion. This command line submit was done from the
same workspace pointed at by Eclipse.

Any ideas on what is happening here?
