I cannot think of why you would get that message, unless perhaps you have
been using Subclipse for a very long time and still have some old versions
installed. Subclipse "supports" Linked Resources in that we allow you to
add them you your project and we just ignore them. This is how the
Eclipse documentation says that most team providers will handle them. That
message you gave is what you normally get when the team provider says they
do not support them at all, which has not been the case with Subclipse for
a very long time.

Since you are on Eclipse 3.2, I'd recommand you install the 1.1.x release
and then delete all other versions of Subclipse from the features and
plugins folder on your disk.
