The error seems sort of impossible. It occurs when there is no client
adapter available but we include JavaSVN which should be available on other
systems.

What version of Subversion JavaHL do you have? It is possible that the
loading of JavaHL is crashing and causing it all to abort. You should be
using 1.3.x.
