aha! :-)

on attempted install/update, i got:

"an exception occurred while downloading feature from
"http://subclipse.tigris.org/update_1.2.x/features/org.tigris.subversion.subclipse_1.1.2.jar".
Do you want to retry?"

restarting workbench, and reinstalling seems to have done the trick!

AND, no more error in the .log.
