[Subclipse-users] [Fwd: Re: Subclipse]

We found the problem : SVN has to be activated on SourceForge not only
for the project but also for each user.

Thanks.

Dear Subclipse developers,
Following Mark's suggestions, I excluded username from the URL. I also
switched to JavaSVN interface instead of JavaHL.
No success yet; I now get this error message:
mkdir -m "" https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/bulkmailer/Mailer
    svn: MKACTIVITY of '/svnroot/bulkmailer/!svn/act/0000010b547e6047':
403 Forbidden (https://svn.sourceforge.net)
Any hint to make it work ?

I'd do a couple of things:
1) Do not include your username in the URL. I see near the end you
tried that, but stick with it.
2) Clear any cached authentication data in Subversion. It basically is
just saying you are not authorized. It could be that it has cached
valid login credentials, so you do not get prompted for your username
and password.
3) In Eclipse preferences, Team -> SVN try changing the client
adapter. They both cache credentials in different places, that would be
an easy way to take care of #2. You should note, however, that the
JavaSVN adapter has some problems working with SourceForge
repositories. However, I do not think it has this particular problem.
The basics should work OK.
Send any followups to users@subclipse.tigris.org only.
Thanks

Subject: Subclipse
Dear Subclipse developers,
I am using Subclispe SVN Eclipse plugin 1.0.1 with Eclipse 3.1.2. I
experience problems using it to connect SourceForge SVN.
As specified on the SourceForge Web site;
The following configuration settings are used to access a
SourceForge.net-hosted SVN repository:
    * Hostname: svn.sourceforge.net
    * Port: 443
    * Protocol: HTTPS
    * Repository Path: /svnroot/PROJECTNAME (PROJECTNAME is the
project's UNIX name)
    * Username: Your SourceForge.net username for SVN write operations,
none will be requested otherwise.
    * Password: Your SourceForge.net user password for write operations,
none will be requested otherwise.
I followed these settings but they do not work. Some error message are
as follows:
    Filesystem has no item

I tried various configurations, with no success. I checked I activated
SVN for our SourceForge project.
Can this is a bug of Subclipse or did I do something wrong ?
In this case, I do not know how to connect SVN from Eclipse otherwise.
Indeed, TortioseSVN does SVN but it is not integrated with Eclipse.
Best regards,
Jip
