[Subclipse-users] Painless usage of Subclipse over Ssh

Hi Folks,

I've gone through the messages in the archive for setup instructions on
using an SSH tunnel.

When I tried using this on two machines for the very first time, the svn+ssh
protocol worked just fine and I did not have to setup any keys. As painless
as the CVS plugin.

However, when I tried it on some other machines, svn+ssh was not recognized
and the error message was about this url being unresolved.

I want to avoid having to setup TortoiseCVS or any other tool and go
directly through Eclipse. It would help to understand what the plugin
expects - if it finds an SSH tool (an environment variable?), does the GUI
act as a wrapper for such a tool? The documentation seems to suggest
manually setting up a connection outside of Subclipse. However, I didn't
have to do this on two machines I worked with.

Thank you for your pointers.

Regards,
Somik
