I'm thinking also about building svk-like functionality on top of JavaSVN.
Latest version of JavaSVN (1.1.0.beta) does support local repository access
as well as repository replication. Being implemented as Eclipse plugin such
tool could offer richer functionality comparing to svk for Eclipse users.
What do you think on that?
