I think that synchronization view suppose to help to resolve such
issues. Unfortunately currently there are several shortages.

First of all there is a global Team preferences "show all sync
information in a resource's text label", when it is enabled I'd expect
to see nature of change for each folder that appears in sync view. Right
now we just see an "outgoing change" for folder if there are property
change.

Also, it is been suggested to make sync view to show special nodes for
properties, thae it will be very clear what is going on and would also
allow to compare these properties with version from svn right from sync
view. And it will be somehow in line with new "model-based"
synchronization features introduced since Eclipse 3.2M5 (you don't have
to use 3.2 api for that).

BTW, there is a nasty glitch around sync info for properties. When I
open sync view that show several projects (using "compressed folders"
layout), where one of projects in scope does not have outgoing changes
and if I then add some property to root folder of that
unchanged project, this project appears in sync view with outgoing
changes, but sync view also show a child node with the same label as
project node. It is cleaned up if you change layout to tree and then
back to compressed folders.

  regards,
  Eugene
