This has already been explained in this thread. There are reasons we work
the way we do. Perhaps someone will patch the current code? As long as
it can be done without bringing back the problems the current code solves,
I'd be all for it.

Subclipse does the same thing, we just integrate the unversioned files
into the commit dialog which I personally prefer over the CVS method.
