I'm not saying I didn't want to upgrade. Just that, as upgrade to 1.3 was
a required prerequisite, I would have imagined it necessary to upgrade
svn before subclipse. But this upgrade made it impossible to start eclipse
and hence upgrade subclipse.

So - the issue was one of the upgrade process. Perhaps, a note in the release
notes to say that one needs to upgrade first subclipse (or uninstall it) and
then upgrade subversion to 1.3.

I understand, I would have expected a less drastic failure of svn access than a
total crash of eclipse.

Anyway, if these issues are documented in next release notes, it would be a
useful thing.
