It could have been fixed based on the stacktrace alone, but it was
throwing me that I couldn't recreate what seemed like an easy thing to
recreate. I initially changed Select All to not make the array null, but
on closer inspection I saw that it did that intentionally. So all that
was really needed was a simple null check.

BTW, the code that caused the problem was some new code that was added in
0.9.101 for issue# 402.
