Fw: [Bug 37154] [Team] Support for subversion

From: Miha Vitorovic <mvitorovic_at_nil.si>
Date: 2005-12-22 10:17:47 CET

I thought this is something you'd like to know...

Background: [Bug 37154] is actually a long thread about whether Eclipse
should support SVN out of the box, about whether Subclipse should be
included in the Eclipse distro, etc... Mainly with the users requesting
Subversion support on one side, and developers arguing that Subversion is
neat and all, but that they cannot support evey neat product out of the
box, and that they only support CVS because it is used to store the
Eclipse source code.

Well, this is the latest addition to that thread :-)

Bug 71735 pretty much sums up the situation regarding Subversion support
Eclipse (i.e. the decision would come from the PMC).
