For the sake of the JavaSVN developer, Alex, it would be nice if you could
post any information you think might be helpful as to why Subversion
CLI/JavaHL works, but JavaSVN does not.

Server version and OS. Any proxies or anything like that between you and
the server, etc...

I assume the repository is not publicly accessible?
