Cannot set username for ssh with JavaSVN on subclipe 0.9.36

Platform is Windows 2000/SP4 and Eclipse 3.1.0. Install Subclipse
0.9.36. Select JavaSVN option. Create a new repository location. Enter
username and password for remote repository. Then login dialog is again
displayed, showing username on local system instead of the remote system
username. Adding javasvn.ssh2.username property to Eclipse config.ini
file did not solve the problem.

Create a new user account on Windows with the same name as the login
used for ssh/putty on the remote system. Repeat above. Then access to
the remote system works.

Analysis: Cannot get 0.9.36/JavaSVN to authenticate when local Windows
username is not the same as the SSH username on remote system.

Workaround: Use subclipe 0.9.33.
