launching with the same workspace but with matching drive letter case
has got everything working just fine :)

This is not a bug. If you notice in the dialog, the case of the drive
letter is different. The root of this problem is an Eclipse bug that we
are working around by preventing you from doing any Subclipse actions
until the situation is corrected.
