repository browser for tagging

Hello,

I am using Eclipse 3.1.0, TortoiseSVN 1.2.4.4479 (with Subversion 1.2.3) and
Subclipse 0.9.34.

I created a repository file:///C/repo with the layout
/
        project1/
                trunk/
                        .project
                tags/
                        0.0.1/
                                .project
                branches/
        project2/
                trunk/
                        .project
                tags/
                        0.0.1/
                                .project
                branches/

The files .project are eclipse project files.

In eclipse I created a repository location file:///C/repo with repository
root url "file:///C/repo". When I right-click on
file:///C/repo/project1/trunk and say "Check out as project" I have a new
project "project1" in the resource view. So far so good. But I also have a
new repository location file:///C/repo/project1/trunk! Why is that??

I change the repository root url of the new repository location
file:///C/repo/project1/trunk from file:///C/repo/project1/trunk to
file:///C/repo. If I now right-click on the project project1 and say Team ->
Branch/Tag the window "Copy (Branch/Tag)" opens. I click on "Browse..." to
open the repository browser in order to navigate to the directory tags. But
I only see the file .project in the repository browser. And no way to browse
anywhere. What do I need the reporioty browser for, if I cannot browse up?
Am I doing anything wrong? Is it a feature or is it a bug?

Hilmar
