thanks a lot for your patience and all that kind help.
Actually moving from VSS to SVN is harder than we thought, but I think it is worth all the trouble in the end. :-)
Subversion is a great software, and Subclipse is a nearly perfect frontend to it.
All we're discussing is only making it even smarter than it already is.

Use the Checkout As ... option and create a Java project. But yes, if you
copy back the .project and .classpath files when you are done it should be
the same. There is not a lot in those files, so it wouldn't be too hard
to recreate.
