You should install TortoiseSVN and specify TortoisePlink.exe as the
tunneling ssh program that svn uses: it is a modified version of
plink.exe that does not pop up the dos window.
If you are using both CVS and SVN through an ssh tunnel there shouldn't
be big performance differences.
