There is an Eclipse Project Set file (.psf) at this URL in the repository:

http://subclipse.tigris.org/svn/subclipse/trunk/subclipse/core/

You can use that file with the Eclipse Import from Project Set file wizard.
I have not tried it in a long time, but I assume it still works.

Basically, you just need to use the checkout as project option to checkout
the core and ui plugins from the repository. You do not really need any
others. The errors you mentioned imply that an old version of
svnClientAdapter.jar is being used. The file comes with the core plugin
and that is the one the ui plugin would normally be using.
